Charming Hazel Cottage is a cosy garden cottage situated in picturesque Upper Settle close to The Green. The self catering holiday cottage, part of a delightful terrace of cottages, was built around 1850 and is in a conservation area. Hazel Cottage is on the edge of Settle near the Malham Road, and open countryside is well within 5 minutes walk. There are many excellent walks from the door making the cottage an excellent base for walking. Hazel Cottage is available from Saturday to Saturday.
The ancient market town of Settle has cobbled streets and many country shops and restaurants, and is ideally placed for touring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and visiting the Settle to Carlisle railway which features steam trains. Close by are the Lake District; Haworth, the home of the famous Bronte sisters; and the village of Rylstone, famous for the WI Calendar Girls. A wide range of leisure activities are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. For example, golf, crown green bowls, horse riding, pot holing, walking, etc.
Hazel Cottage sleeps up to four. Upstairs, there is a large bedroom with a double bed and a single bed; and there is a single bedroom. There is a single folding bed in the downstairs lounge. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave oven. Heating is by electric storage heaters and an open fire in the lounge. Logs and coal are provided at no extra cost. There is also no extra charge for gas or electricity. Bed linen and tea towels are provided free; however, there is a charge of £5 per person for bath and hand towels if required. Hazel Cottage has a colour TV, radio, telephone, shaver point, bath, shower and a small garden.
The market square, shops, pubs, restaurants and launderette are within five minutes walk.There is free on street parking around The Green which is easily accessible from the cottage. There is also a public car park within 5 minutes walk. One well behaved dog is welcome, by arrangement.
