Eller Haw Cottage dates back to the 17th Century and is bursting with character and romance. Refurbished to an high standard, the cottage retains all of its old-world charm reminiscent of its era, including beautiful exposed beams, roof trusses, natural stone exposed walls and a two foot thick stone wall window seat.

With such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and excellent facilities including Wi-Fi, wood burning stove and a piano its no wonder Eller Haw Cottage scooped the Best UK Cottage award 2011.

Surrounded by sweeping hills in every direction, its not hard to see why Cotterdale is nicknamed the hidden gem. Those with a passion for glorious views, wildlife and wide open spaces are guaranteed to fall head over heels with this tranquil part of the country, which is ideally situated for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts as the Pennine Way and Great Shunner Fell are both accessible directly on foot from the cottage.

Although the holiday cottage is situated in a tranquil location, with spectacular views all round and an abundance of wildlife, if you can drag yourself away, Cotterdale is just a few minutes drive away from the market town of Hawes, there you will find everyday shopping, tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and the famous Wensleydale Creamery.

Drive 25 miles west of Cotterdale and you will find yourself in the Lake District making Cotterdale a fantastic central location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, Yorkshire Moors and the Lake District. Eller Haw Cottage is one of two cottage in Cotterdale.

Eller Haw Cottage is convenient for both the A1 and M6 motorways. The M6 motorway to the West and the A1 to the East are each about 40-60 minutes away by car on the A684, making Cotter dales easily accessible.
