Welcome to Ribblesdale
Ribblesdale can only be described as dramatic, offering striking scenery, historic market towns like Settle, and the Ribblehead Viaduct whose 24 arches of over 100 feet each span the valley floor.
This area is well known for its walks: the Ribble Way, the Pennine Way and the Three Peaks, along with the many excellent bridleways to be explored, some of them dating from as far back as Roman times.
There are many caves and pot holes "under" Ribblesdales hills, one of the most well known is Alum Pot to the west of Selside on the slopes of Simon Fell (2088ft).
The towns and villages of Horton in Ribblesdale, Clapham, Ingleton all have many Hotels, Bed and Breakfast, Pubs, Inns and caravan and campsites to choose from.
